Teacher presents class with information, they discuss, and it is teacher lead.• The advantages of each strategy:
Teacher can lead the class to where she wants them in order to cover the information she intended to .
• The disadvantages of each strategy:
Class can not go out in the direction they want, to explore what interests them.
• An example of how each strategy can be implemented in the school library: Teacher and Librarian can present the class with the information needed to discuss on the topic. Again a controlled discussion.

Long term grouping can build peers friendship

Need to keep groups small
Overused can lose it effectiveness
